First you can simply find a server remember the name and tell your friends to join that server by finding the name.
To create a private match in killing floor 2 all you need to do is add your friends to the game and matchmake.
Second if you have steam which i think steam is mandatory for kf you can join on your friend via steam s friends list.
I just invite my friends to a party and join an empty server you can also make a party and use matchmaking to put you in a server with specified conditions like friends only but as of right now the only way to host your own server is hosting a dedicated one not sure if listen servers will be a thing in the future or not but until then i just find servers that have good ping difficulty.
